如果需要按照芝加哥格式手册的指南来引用各类资料，有两种格式可以选用。作者-年代格式一般用在物理、自然和社科文章中，而注解-参考书目格式更常用于人文学科（文学、历史和艺术学科）的文章中。

4:在文中插入引文
1:每个引用的他人主张旁边都标上引用源。一定要记得写引用来源，否则会构成剽窃罪行。尤其在大学中，这种罪行可能会让你不及格，甚至导致你开除。
2:以作者-日期格式引用文章信息。把作者名、发表年份写在括号里，如果是直接引用，在个逗号后面写上页码数。如果有两个作者，把两人名字都写出来，中间加上“and”。如果多过两个作者，要用逗号隔开。要在句点前把引用写下来。
例如： Leaving the ground in sod increases the organic matter of the soil by 15% in 10 years (Alison 1993).
3:以注释-参考书目形式引用文章。在他人立场上方加个上标，标示出引用源。即便引用了多次，每次都要用新的上标数字。每一页上标都重新从1开始，最后还要在页下端标上脚注，列出引用来源。在论文尾部也要标上参考书目。
例如： Leaving the ground in sod increases the organic matter of the soil by 15% in 10 years.（如图）
小提示
如果有多个作者，要把所有人的名字（全名和姓氏都要包括）都列在第一个作者后面，用逗号隔开。
