今年中美关系不好，大家都说要多国申请，加拿大的学校现在成为必申选项了。而加国最重要的学校也就是多大，滑铁卢，麦吉尔和UBC。这几所里面，多大和滑铁卢是属于安省的，都是用OUAC系统，这两个学校一起申请的。今天特别提醒，对这两所学校有计划申请的孩子，不能放后面，要把它们放进早申类考虑。
多大明确提出，建议国际体系的孩子11.7前就递交申请（成绩等文件后面交），而且说的很清楚，位置满了就不收了，申请费不退。
其实2018年我就碰到学生告知，多大发过这样奇葩的拒信，说，时间太晚，材料太多，没空看了，所以把你拒了。。。所以申请多大看来一定得赶早，去晚了再强也没用。看看下面的英文原文吧：
2020-2021
The university application process starts in the fall of the year before you intend to begin your studies. Be sure to start looking into Scholarships right away as well, as some have early deadlines.
We encourage you to submit your application and the appropriate application fee well in advance of the posted deadlines. Recommended application deadline for OUAC 105, U of T International, Internal and Part-time applications is November 7, 2019. Spaces fill quickly and programs may close before the application deadlines listed below. If we receive your application from OUAC after the program is closed, your application will be cancelled with no refund.
Approximately one week after we receive your application we will send you an email acknowledgement including your JOINid/UTORid, your University of Toronto applicant number, and full information about the next steps in the application process.

多大有相应的托福要求，基础是100分，写作要22分，如果弱一点的也要达到89-99分，
由于多大和滑铁卢是一个OUAC系统，所以既然多大早了，滑铁卢也要跟上，滑铁卢最有名的就是它巨大不已的数院，要申数学和计算机方向的孩子注意了，想提高竞争力，拿奖学金吗？看这里：
这是数学方向的：
You"re strongly encouraged to write theEuclid Mathematics Contest and/or the Canadian Senior Mathematics Contest. Results of the contests will be used in scholarship decisions and possibly admission decisions for programs in the Faculty of Mathematics.
这是计算机方向的：
We strongly encourage you to participate in the Canadian Senior Mathematics Contest and/or the Euclid Mathematics Contest to enhance your admissions status.
高中的时候尽量去参加上面提及的相关竞赛吧。
另外，由于COOP的要求， 滑铁卢的英语水准其实要求很高，别看只要90分， 但是两个单项，写作和口语25分，我估计得卡掉一大堆人。大家掏出成绩单看看。
最后，给大家一些加拿大申请的几个通用注意点：
1.GPA 特别重要，越高越好。
2. 申请递交要赶早。
3.文件一定要交全。成绩等文件的递交自己关注，是否递交成功没系统没人提醒。所以得自己盯着。
4.加国体系的孩子录取明显和国际生不在一个pool里面，他们录取信息会早很多。
5.加国的申请费比较贵，心疼。
6.大部分神奇的加国学校要高考成绩或者会考证明。
7. 多大有三个校区，水平其实不一样，申请时候要注意。
8.滑铁卢的COOP很抢手，5年中2年工作，基本孩子自己赚学费，家长压力减少很多，不过孩子读书的压力很大，自己斟酌。
9. 麦吉尔是法语区，去了要学法语，好处是毕业基本就绿卡到手，留下来容易。
