一、同义替换
同义替换可以避免重复，是秀出自己庞大词汇量的绝佳方法。下面给大家整理了七组常见的中文词组和对应的英文表达，帮助提升你的作文逼格！
认为
Think → believe, maintain, agree, assert, insist, claim, emphasize, point out, reckon, assume, cling to the idea that
越来越多人
More and more people → People in growing, mounting, increasing, expanding numbers
为了
In order to, so as to → in a bid to, in an attempt to, with a view to, aim to, aim at, for the purpose of
好坏
Good → beneficial, profitable, helpful, sound, decent, positive
Bad → harmful, detrimental, hazardous, negative
优缺点
Advantage → merit, virtue, benefit, profit, pro

二、改变句式
英文句式同样不拘一格，所以也可以通过改变句式实现表达的多样性。举个例子：
如今，在线教育模式因其方便、直接的特色正获得越来越多人的认可。
本句对应的几种表达有：
Owing to its convenience and directness, currently, online education is being recognized by a growing number of people.
Currently, a growing number of people have recognized online education owing to its convenience and directness.
Online education whose feature is convenience and directness is being recognized by a growing number of people, currently.
It is owing to its feature of convenience and directness that online education currently is being recognized by a growing number of people.
如果加上“同义替换”，那么本句的表达方式还会增加数倍。
三、长短句相间
广大考生在写作文的时候，经常会出现句型过短的尴尬，其实可以通过加连接词或从句的方式将句子拉长，这样既显得没那么啰嗦，又不会改变原意。再举个例子：
He discovered some degree of personal courage In the Gallic war. But from the moment he arrival in Rome, he abandoned himself to the luxury of the capital. He also lost himself in the abuse of his fortune. He was soft yet cruel. He was devoted to pleasure but destitute of taste. Though exquisitely susceptible of vanity, he was indifferent to public esteem.
文中很多成分可以合并，效果如下：
In the Gallic war, he discovered some degree of personal courage; but from the moment of his arrival in Rome he abandoned himself to the luxury of the capital and the abuse of his fortune. He was soft yet cruel, devoted to pleasure but destitute of taste, and though exquisitely susceptible of vanity, indifferent to public esteem.
修改后的文章虽然字数变少，但内容不变，而且行文显得更紧凑，读来朗朗上口，所以文采更胜一筹。需要注意的是，并不是所有的句子都得写的很长，最好的效果是长短句相间，如同一段乐曲，高低音搭配，读来才会更加悦耳动人。
