公司的招待会(reception),常有举杯庆祝的机会,今日我们来讨论「干杯」
的相关说法:
若是要提议举杯庆祝,可用“propose a toast”一词;其中“propose”为
提议,是动词,而“toast”是指举杯庆贺的动作(当然也可指食物类的土司),
是名词,例如:
Ladies and gentlemen,I would like to propose a toast.
若要请大家举杯,也可用动词“raise”,如:
Ladies and gentlemen,please raise your glasses.
若要表明举杯致意的对象或庆祝的原因,在“toast”后加上“to”(介系词),如:
