Looking back at the Ukraine and Kosovo issues, reality has made us seriously think whether the world is far from sovereignty conscious and returning to multilateralism. ANBOUND"s chief researcher Chen Gong believes that multilateralism is required in dealing with many issues and more cooperation is needed rather than conflicts. China’s outstanding economic growth is attributed to peace, cooperation and multilateralism which bring legendary wealth and economic growth. However, opting for multilateralism and giving up conflict and war does not necessarily mean the country has lost its sovereignty. Ukraine crisis outcome is closely related to Russian domestic politics, thus the best suggestion is to maintain the current status quo and shelve from disputes. Since sovereignty conscious is merely a virtual concept might as well let it be.
