Recently, the construction of nuclear power projects is booming in the wake of increasing support from central government. Meanwhile, the largest inland nuclear power project seems to be launched later, though with full controversies. ANBOUND chief researcher Chen Gong states that the biggest problem brought about by nuclear power project is that it provides both opportunities and risks. Besides, inland nuclear power project is even more risky. Once there is an accident, its disastrous effect is beyond estimation. Therefore, China inland nuclear power projects should be constructed with great caution. More consideration should be given to energy saving, solar energy, wind energy, shale gas and other clean energy to replace the demand of nuclear power.
